The OCR Level 1 Certificate/Diploma for IT Users (New CLAiT) is a qualification designed to recognise the skills of IT users everywhere, and will equip learners with the basic range of skills necessary to meet the demands of the modern workplace.

New CLAiT Level 1 Certificate/Dipolma is is a nationally recognised qualification in IT that is accessible and flexible and is designed to fit the needs of the learner.

In order to achieve a certificate qualification, candidates are required to achieve three units, the core unit plus two additional optional units.
  • Core Unit - File Management and e-document Production
  • Optional Units
    Creating Spreadsheets and Graphs
    Database Manipulation
    Create an e-presentation
    On-line Communication

The OCR Level 1 Certificate/Diploma is ideal for people looking to gain a basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access.

In order to achieve a diploma qualification, candidates are required to achieve five units, the core unit plus 4 additional optional units from the list above.
